The other day Muffin showed me a site that was translating Light Novels and said i should read some.
I dont normally read very much but I was thinking about reading the Toaru Majutsu no Index ones.

Anyways does anyone here read light novels?
Any that you reccommend?
Any that should be avoided at all costs?

I've enjoy the 'Banner of the Star' light novels, though the translation group is fairly slow/dead.

was it Baka Tsuki? Cuz I dislike some of their translations. The english just sounds retarded sometimes.

I prefer to read light novels over manga actually. I get a good translated copy, print and bind them (preferably the entire volume) for reading whenever I want. Although it's quite costly so I've only been able to do the first volume of No. 6.

But I have ready to print Dantalian no Shoka vol. 1, Baka Test vol 1-4, Kizumonogatari and the first 6 chapters of Nekomonogatari (White). I'd like the Zero no Tsukaima LNs though :c

You're reading silly light novels but not seakitty? Outrageous!

But seriously, I didn't expect Marion to make a thread about wordy works of literature.

I like light novels, but I wish more were available officially. There's something about the feel of a book that reading off a monitor doesn't compare to, but I don't have the inclination nor dedication to print my own.

I bought Shakugan no Shana volume 1 for a penny once, though.
